Even if it seems a little old-fashioned, girls still love to wear corsages to prom! Protocol has changed a bit, but a corsage is a very important part of the girl’s complete ensemble. Your professional florist can help you decide which flowers are appropriate, and what colors will match or blend with the dress. It is always important to remember how the flowers will photograph.
What about the boutonniere? Yes, gentlemen wear flowers in the lapels. It’s one of the few times that it’s appropriate (their wedding is another) and it’s always nice when the corsage and boutonniere match.
We can design the perfect corsage in minutes, but pre-orders are always appreciated. That way your flowers will be ready for you when you come to pick them up.
Order your prom corsages and boutonnieres from your professional florist today!
I have a few (9 years) before my little girl goes to prom.. very happy about that!
9 years will fly by!! Enjoy her every day!!
I always wanted to have the corsage that is worn on the wrist… I just thought those were so nifty 🙂
That is the corsage of choice these days. I think it’s because most prom dresses don’t have straps. No, you don’t need an excuse to wear a corsage, Loretta! Going out to dinner on Saturday night? Wear one and watch how the people in the restaurant envy you!!
Now that is cute
Finally! I found something “cute”!!!
So pretty! I love the lilies the best.
How very lovely that some traditions still remain. Yes, why shoudn’t you sweep into a restaurant wearing a pretty corsage, it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to ! 🙂
Yes, it’s a great way to have people wonder what you’ve been up to!!
So pretty!
🙂 Thanks!
I just retired from wedding planning and would suggest a wrist corsage over and over…
Tring to pin a corsage on some of the summer dress can be a nightmare. This one is beautiful.
Yes, you are so correct. I find the only ladies who must have a dress corsage are playing a musical instrument!!
What an appropriate time to talk about corsages with PROM being right around the corner
Our proms are already happening. We have had several this past weekend, and 6 schools this coming Saturday (that we know of). Then 8 in the neighorhood the following weekend. They’re early here because school lets out in the beginning of May.
Beautiful corsages. Wish I could go to prom 🙂
I wish I could go to prom (again), too!!! Arnie, where are you???
Getting ready to go the prom!
Just wait…my creative juices are beginning to flow. We are thousands of miles apart and we’re going to figure a way to get to the prom. It’s just what we need…a break from our “normal” nutso responsibilities. I’ll let you know where to send the corsage!!!
Lovely!
Thanks!! Lovely and fun! We think corsages are one of the “fun-nest” things we do!!
Beautiful corsage! My daughter still has her’s from her prom, 14 years ago, and my son did wear a boutonniere that matched the wrist corsage he gave his date.
Isn’t that wonderful!! That tells you how important the corsage and boutonniere really are!!
The corsage is definitely a prom tradition. I’ll have to see if it’s still in style when my granddaughter is in high school. She’s five now. She still has a ways to go before prom.
I sure hope so!! Although the “styles” of the corsages have changed throughout the years, the wearing of flowers has not.
I remember these for my prom (many many mooooons ago lol). Surprised they’re still popular after all these years, but I suppose it’s the fact that it’s different and rarely done that makes these feel special for these couple most special of occasions.
I think they are still popular because they are fragrant, pretty, inexpensive and fun to wear!
Corsages on the wrist are nice, when your dancing you can just smell the sweet fragrance!!
Yes, I agree with you, Maria. And a dress corsage always gets mashed when slow-dancing…
Oh! Getting ready for prom is so much fun! Here in a few years we’ll have another ready for those rites of passage! ❤
Remember the importance of the corsage!!
So sweet!
Yvonne Brown
Thanks!! Tomorrow is corsage-making-day for pick up on Saturday! One of the best parts is getting to see the boys and girls all gussied-up for prom!
How fun to be part of this most memorable day in a teen’s life! P.S. have you seen the movie Bee Movie? It’s got Seinfeld playing a cartoon bee, and he dates a florist (a cartoon human) played by Renee Zellweger. Very funny and sweet about florists.
Good morning, Josie!! Thanks for the comment and the email about the tulips. No, I haven’t seen that movie, but I love Jerry Seinfeld (saw him live in Las Vegas about 5 years ago and he was terrific!). I’ll have to watch for that movie!!
