What to do when you simply can’t decide!

Today people simply couldn’t decide what they wanted to send. Do REAL MEN really get flowers? (you bet they do!!).

What about a run-in-and-get-married wedding? Sure, we can do that!

And if that’s not what you have in mind, how about a gift basket?

We call it magic. The magic of Roadrunner Florist & Basket Express.

What do you call it?

    • Food baskets are perfect gifts. The ones you see here, although they are similar, are different in content. Both have fresh apples, pears, oranges, kiwi, lemons, tangerines, cheese and crackers, but it stops there. One has a sausage. One has a pineapple. Each has a different type of cheese. I decided to add cookies to both of them (only one asked for them but I didn’t want the cookies to go to waste … or to waist …). I love designing these, all year ’round, as the fruits of the season change. I’m glad you like it!

  1. My hubby surprised me a few times when he was working up north. He would call in an flower order and wait for it to be delivered. It was awesome!! We have never ordered gift baskets thought. I wonder why?

    • After I wrote about the movie basket, I remembered something I recently read. It seems more people are watching movies at home than going to the movies! So, why not enjoy a movie basket when it’s movie basket at home with your family?

    • Yes, Liz, that is the plan! We know there are occasions when flowers are the perfect gift. And we know gift baskets are sometimes appropriate, too. Another example is a funeral. We deliver fresh fruit baskets to family homes to mourners can enjoy the goodies after a service. It’s another thoughtful way to express condolences.

    • Thanks, Amanda. As you can imagine, when those edible creations came to town I was most curious, so I went to one of their locations for a look-see. What I wanted to know is how they treat the fruit after they cut it. You see, I live in Phoenix, and I know for a fact fresh fruit, after it is pierced, has a very short life expectancy unless it is treated with something to keep it fresh. I was very disappointed that they would not let me into the “back room” to see what they do with the fruit. I didn’t get to see where they store the fruit, where they cut the fruit, how many utensils they use to cut the fruit, what they place on the fruit to keep it fresh, or even how long the cut fruit sits out before it is (hopefully) refrigerated. The only part of the process I was allowed to see was their display refrigerator and the cold-bag they sell. Of course we’re dealing with heat. In a lot of the country people are dealing with cold. How do they keep their fruit from freezing? I don’t know the answers to the questions, but I’d love to find out. In the meantime I will continue to design and deliver fresh fruit baskets that have the whole fruit and nothing but the fruit!!

  2. It took me a long time to realize that my hubby would like flowers just like I like getting flowers. So thanks for this reminder…let me order some flowers for my hubby to be delivered next week JUST BECAUSE!

    • Pamela, I promise men like flowers as much a women do! And maybe a bit more since they don’t usually receive them!! If I have reminded you to order flowers JUST BECAUSE (which is one of my favorite reasons!!) then I have succeeded in my blogging efforts. Contact a LOCAL flower shop. If you need help finding one, let me know and I’ll be happy to assist you! Then please come back and let us know how your hubby responded to the gift!!
